nasturtiums and onions. i've had such trouble with nasturtiums, i didnt expect them all to sprout so fast.
last years choice of organic miracle grow potting soil resulted in over half the damn bags being mulch. i complained and they offered to refund my money, but i bought them with cash and couldnt find the damn receipt. grrr. this year i bought a brand from fleet farm. sadly, it also had a lot of mulch in it. not as bad as the miracle grow, but still extremely frustrating.
i set up a little sifting station.

most of it was small enough to pass thru the sieve. but that still meant lots of small mulch along with the soil. i'm starting to seriously hate mulch.
