molly likes to sit on my feet

to be a problem when i'm trying to paint my toenails...

i like to paint my nails outside, on the porch steps. its easiest for me to reach my toes that way, and the nail polish stink stays outdoors. but molly came up to sit on my feet and be petted and loved, as is her due. only some fast footwork saved my freshly applied coat of nail polish!

minion figurines. they were very very cheap, and only one could stand upright on its own. so i glued them all to a base and now they all stand up.

tomatoes and frost

tomatoes! amish paste are the darker green ones along the outer and back rows. cherry tomatoes are the lighter green/smaller ones down the middle row.

i should have waited a couple more weeks before putting them in the ground, but they were getting so big they were falling over on themselves.

because i jumped the gun getting them into the ground, the tomatoes are out there far earlier than is safe for this zone. we had two nights of freezing temps. rather than pull up all the tomato cages, i found a use for my scrap stuff.

the tomato tent i clothes pinned together for the two nights that got pretty close to frost.

pear trees blooming

blossoms on the luscious pear tree. the rain knocked them off before they managed to go full bloom. but thankfully didnt stop the pears from forming tho! (and the rocks in the nylons are to help spread the branches)

wherever the afghans are, that is where puppy will be!

i washed and folded up the two afghans i usually have over the foot of my bed in winter. they're only twin size. i set them on the futon and puppy jumped up and rolled around on them, spreading them out until they were just right.
