its not very nutritious, but it has a lot of water in it. tortoises normally take up water thru their cloaca, so i have to give her periodic 'baths'. i put a tub of water in her enclosure and she sits in it for a while and she fouls it quickly, crawling in and out of it, occasionally flipping it. i cant leave it in there. watermelon is extra water for her. she loves eating it. she'll eat a piece nearly as large as she is! but like i said, little nutritional value, mostly water. so its not a frequent treat.
