salsa making

making peach salsa

we got 5 jars of peach salsa. 2 pints and 3 half-pints

my parents water softener went out earlier in the week, so there was limescale on the jars after they came out of the canner.

making tomato salsa, this time we ran the tomatoes thru my strainer rather than chopping them up

as big as the sunflowers in the backyard garden got, the ones in the front yard garden had a more difficult start. i planted like 24 seeds, and they all came up, but before they got a foot tall the bunnies ate them all down to practically nothing. two of them managed to come back and put out short little blooms, but the bunnies ate these within days of this picture.
