replacing the laundry sink pipes

the sink that the washer drains into, it developed a clog despite the lint filters i use. silly me i stuck a screwdriver in the drain and poked around, to clear the clog. and without any effort at all, it went right straight thru the old galvanized metal drain pipe below. i hate galvanized pipes.

i bought the appropriate replacement pvc pipes. thanks to the townhome i lived in before this house, and my dads help thru the years, i am quite proficient with pvc pipes. i did have to borrow my dads two big wrenches. my biggest wrench wasnt big enough.

you can see the old galvanized pipe, and the nasty rusted floor drain (gets replaced in september. they had to jackhammer out the floor.)

and when i loosened the leaking side, the pipe on the side under the other sink just snapped in half.

so i had to make a second trip to the store for more parts for the other side of the sink. but i got all the right stuff and fixed it up good.

bonus puppy pic. another branch dropped from the ash tree (that my dad just cut down). this is a little one, but it dropped right on my chair dammit. this tree has been dropping shit all summer and there are 4 dangling branches still hanging up there.
