the view from above

i climbed to the porch/sunroom roof to clean out the gutters and brought the camera up with me.

the greenhouse, as seen from above (and the ladder)

this is what the porch roof looks like

the right side of the yard

the ash tree that is only a couple feet away from the porch. (and blocks part of the yard from being photographed from up there)

the left side of the yard with the garden. the ash tree is in the way.

the ash tree branch that shades the porch roof for part of the day. the handsaw is for cutting off the branches that scrape the roof. i have to prune that back every year. the rope is tied to the ladder because one time the wind blew the ladder down and i got stuck up on the roof until i was able to flag a neighbor down.

i climbed up onto the house roof, up around the ash tree for an unimpeded picture of the left side of the yard

my garden, the two raised beds, and the strawberry patch in the corner. both those sheds are on the other side of the fence in neighbors' yards.

the dogs checking out all the gunk (and maple tree helicopters) i cleaned out of the gutter.
